Travellers build a Travel Profile: departure airport, budget per person, party composition, trip length, approximate dates and flexibility, regions they want and regions they rule out, plus interests such as beach, city, culture, food, nightlife, adventure, relaxation, nature and cruises, along with all-inclusive, adults-only, family-friendly, stay quality and flight preferences.

Every item is then ranked against that profile across nine weighted dimensions and shown with a match percentage and a factual explanation built only from attributes that actually matched. Ranking is deterministic — the same profile and the same item always produce the same score.

On top of those explicit preferences, behavioural feedback continuously refines the ordering. Behavioural signals are kept separate from the stated Travel Profile, so what a traveller taps sharpens the feed without silently rewriting what they told us.

• Save — The traveller keeps a trip. It signals that this kind of getaway is worth showing more of.
• Pass — The traveller dismisses a trip. It is removed from the feed and suppressed from future ranking.
• More Like This — The strongest positive signal. The attributes of the selected trip — board type, setting, party suitability, style — gain influence, and the feed re-ranks toward genuinely similar supply.
• Surprise Me — Discovery without a destination. Using only budget, departure airport and dates, EscapeFeed proposes a strong match outside what the traveller was already looking at, while respecting hard constraints.

The platform is built for multi-provider inventory from the ground up — providers, items, tags, interactions and outbound clicks are modelled separately from the ranking layer. Partner inventory replaces the current demonstration catalogue through a single data seam; the matching engine does not need to be rebuilt.

EscapeFeed intends to integrate with authorized travel inventory, affiliate programs, APIs and booking partners. No such integration is live today.
