Privacy policy

Early access: if you join the early-access list we store your first name, your email address, whether you consented to marketing email, the exact consent wording, and the date and time of signup. That is the only information EscapeFeed keeps on its own servers today.

Travel Profile: your departure airport, budget, party size and composition, trip length, approximate dates and flexibility, regions you want and regions you rule out, interests, and preferences such as all-inclusive, adults-only, family-friendly, stay quality and flight requirements.

Behavioural interactions: the trips you Save, Pass or tap More Like This on, kept separately from your stated Travel Profile.

Your Travel Profile, your saved trips and your interactions are stored in your own browser on your own device. They are not uploaded to our servers, and we cannot see them. Accounts are not available yet; when they are, this section will be updated before anything changes.

To rank travel recommendations for you, to keep your feed consistent when you return, to send you your early-access invitation, and — only if you explicitly opted in — to send product updates. We never add anyone to marketing email by default.

Marketing consent is a separate, unticked checkbox. We store the exact wording you agreed to and the time you agreed. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying to any email or writing to hello@escapefeed.com.

EscapeFeed uses your browser's local storage to remember your Travel Profile, your saved trips, your interactions and an anonymous device reference used only for internal attribution. A short list of product events — such as completing a Travel Profile or opening a destination — is also kept in that same local storage so we can understand how the product is used; it stays on your device and is not sent to us or to anyone else. Clearing your browser storage erases your Travel Profile, saved trips and that event list.

We use the Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms, to measure visits and sign-ups that come from our ads and to improve which ads we show. It can record pages you view on EscapeFeed, that a free-guide signup happened, and which trip-planning buttons were tapped, together with technical data Meta collects such as your browser, device and IP address. We do not send your name or email to Meta.

In the EU, EEA, UK, Switzerland and other places where consent is required, the Pixel stays off unless you accept it. Elsewhere it is on by default, and you can turn it off. You can change your choice at any time using "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. We keep a record on your device of your choice, when you made it and the notice you were shown.

When you request the Travel Match Guide we store your first name, email, whether you chose the optional travel-tips box (and, if you did, the exact wording and time), the page you signed up on and any ad campaign details in the link you arrived from. Your name, email and that choice are shared with MailerLite, our email provider, so it can send you the guide — and further travel emails only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe from any email at any time.

Ask EscapeFeed is an AI assistant that helps you explore trips in EscapeFeed. When you send it a message, your message and the earlier messages in that conversation are processed by the AI service EscapeFeed uses to generate replies. Today that is an OpenAI model accessed through Lovable’s AI service, which provides our hosting.

To give relevant answers, EscapeFeed may also send the AI your Travel Profile preferences (such as departure airport, budget, dates, trip length, regions, number of travellers and interests) and which trips you have saved or passed. It does not send your name or email address.

Your conversation is stored on your own device, in your browser. EscapeFeed does not keep chat-history records of your conversations on its servers. Choosing “New conversation” or clearing your browser storage deletes it from your device.

To prevent abuse and control costs, our servers keep a scrambled, non-readable identifier derived from your connection, along with message counts and time windows. It cannot be read back as your IP address and is not linked to your messages.

Ask EscapeFeed cannot book, pay for or cancel anything, and EscapeFeed does not intentionally send booking or payment information to it. Please don’t type payment-card details, passwords, passport numbers or other sensitive personal information into the chat — it isn’t needed. AI replies can be wrong; check important details such as entry rules, prices and availability with official sources or the provider before you travel.

EscapeFeed curates destination information and estimated trip costs for planning and comparison. Those estimates are not live quotes, availability or offers. Match scores are calculated from your Travel Profile and the attributes in our curated destination catalogue. Where live inventory, pricing or availability is shown, it is third-party provider content and is identified as such.

Following a booking or provider link takes you to a third-party travel provider whose own privacy policy and terms apply to whatever happens there. Any outbound click we record carries only the travel item, the provider, the time, where in EscapeFeed the click happened and an anonymous reference — never your Travel Profile, your detailed preferences or your interaction history. Some links may earn EscapeFeed a commission at no additional cost to you. We do not claim partnerships that do not exist.

We don't sell personal data. We use service providers for hosting and database storage who process data on our instructions.

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@escapefeed.com and we'll action it. Data held only in your browser can be removed by you at any time by clearing your site storage.
